Research and STEM Resources

STEM Research Resources:

NCLive contains many information sources freely available on various subjects including science, technology and medicine.

PLoS (Public Library of Science) contains freely available articles focused on medical and the life sciences.

PubMed contains citations for biomedical literature and may include links to the full-text articles.

Google Scholar contains wide range of information on many subjects, but not all are available to the public.

Poster and Research Presentation Advice:

See these guidelines for advice on how to prepare an effective poster presentation.  (If that link does not work, try here instead.)

Posters should be no more than 48″ in any dimension.  Here is a Microsoft PowerPoint template that you can use.  If you do not have access to PowerPoint, then try using this Google Slide template instead.  You will need to make a copy before you can edit the template.

Careers in STEM:

See the Career Cornerstone as a wonderful resource for STEM careers.  I particularly enjoy their scientist profiles in physics, chemistry, biology, computer scientists, engineers, and information for aspiring healthcare professionals.
